Welcome!

 

Hello and Welcome to State Line Soapery.  Let me tell you a little bit about myself.  

 

I am a wife, mother to three amazing children and what can I say... I love making soap!

 

I grew up in a small farming town in the northeast corner of Kansas.  My town wasn't (and still isn't) much different from any other small town.  Everybody knows everybody, the streets are still safe after dark, nothing except the churches are open on Sunday's and you guessed it, there isn't a stop light to be found within thirty miles.  And I, like every other child, couldn't wait to get out.  But after college, marriage and a few children, I realized that the town where I grew up, was exactly where I wanted my kids to grow up.  So here we are, living the small town American Dream.  

 

I made my first batch of cold process soap in 2012 as gifts for my children's teachers and was immediately hooked.  I have made countless (no really, I've lost track) numbers of batches, and fall more in love with the process with each batch.  It's been said, when you love what you do, you don't feel like you work a day in your life.  For me, soapmaking is a "get to" not a "have to".  My hope is that you enjoy using the products that I make, even more than I enjoy creating them.
